History of the Course

On September 24th 1997 Shawn Sinclair managed to get the final approvals to install the baskets and tees for the course. Before that the course was an object course. The NorCal Championships were then held at Stafford in November of that year and Stafford has held tournaments nearly every year since. The course is currently maintained by:

• local disc golfers who love Stafford
• Marin County Parks and Recreation who are doing a great job mowing
• the United Flyers of Sonoma, the UFOS who have maintained the course for years and manages the baskets and the installation of the concrete tees a number of years ago.
