Mountain Lion Sighting

posted May 8, 2009, 11:19 PM by Stafford Lake
From one of the locals: "While playing with some locals today, they tell me about a Mountain Lion taking (killing) a hare between hole 3 and hole 6.This was about a week and half ago. It proceeded to go up the hill, with the hare in its mouth, towards the New Mois-Tee. Rangers know about it now and will post some warning signs around the park. They were positive about it too, big cat with a long tail." As a result we recommend that no one wear any meat based clothing or cat urine based cologne. When walking watch your back as Mt. Lions like to go for the neck from behind.
